Software and Systems Engineering Standards: Software Testing Driven by Standards and Models

  • Online

This course offers an overview of the IEEE 29119 series of standards for software testing and teaches its applicability during the complete software lifecycle with and emphasis on Aerospace and Defense specifically. Topics include identifying the role, benefits, and need for software test modeling over the complete software lifecycle; how systems, software, modeling, V&V, and test engineering standards work with each other, the applicability of ISO/IEEE 29119 series for Aerospace and Defense usage. Note: A portion of this course is expanded into the course, Software and Systems Engineering Standards: Using ISO/IEC/IEEE 29119 for Software Testing, which provides an overview of the five supporting parts of the IEEE 29119 series of standards from proposal to retirement.
