Peak Performance Leadership: The Leader as Relationship Builder
Effective leaders not only have good self-management skills, but they also are good at building relationships-for example, among team members, co-workers, organizational units. In this course on peak performance leadership, Dr. LoPresti reviews the role that emotional intelligence plays in building high performing teams. Effective leaders can also improve team performance by strengthening team members' abilities in managing internal and external relationships. A leader's communication skills are also critical in managing relationships. Dr. LoPresti offers specific suggestions for improving skills in these areas. The course also offers two self-scored questionnaires: 1) to assess whether you are a task-oriented or people-oriented type of leader and 2) a team skills assessment.
