This course will begin with a background of Cloud Service Providers (public IaaS and PaaS clouds) and Cloud Computing System Software (private and open source). Next we will discuss fabrics and clustering approaches followed by storage models including Object Storage, Block Storage and Popular Storage Systems (S3/EBS, Swift/Cinder, Ceph, Gluster). This will be followed by a review of Major Application Support Modules which include CAP Theorem, Data: Databases, NoSQL databases, Caches, App Services: Service Bus, Media Services, Identity, and Network: Load Balancers, Virtual Private Cloud, and DNS.
