Cloud Standardization and Component Technology Overview
This course will provide an overview of Cloud standardization activities and initiatives. It begins with a review of the work produced by the US Government Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and Cloud Computing Project. Next we will look at a couple of "standards" that (a) aren't really standards per se and (b) apply more to architecture. We will look at two of them, one from the ITU-T, and one from the Open Datacenter Alliance. Finally, we will consider some proposed and actual standards for cloud components.
What you will learn:
- Discuss cloud standardization activities and initiatives
- Summarize NIST cloud computing standards
- Discuss cloud architecture-related standards
- Describe cloud component-related standards
