A Step-by-Step Approach to Designing Blockchain Solutions

  • Course Program

This course program, provided in collaboration with IEEE Blockchain, an IEEE Future Directions initiative, offers practical guidance for how to design a blockchain solution.  Learners can expect to get a recap of the basics of the technology; understand the expected benefits of a blockchain solution; be able to explain how a solution would benefit a prospect company; be able to design or propose new solutions; understand the expected costs of a solution; understand the resources that are required to develop a solution; be able to write a development brief and draft project proposal. This program builds on other Blockchain-related courses available through IEEE.

What you will learn:

  • Three key steps required to make a case for or against a blockchain solution
  • Three solutions to the challenges of blockchain
  • Six categories of non-functional requirements and explanation of those categories mean across the different levels of the blockchain architecture
  • How to successfully choose the optimum blockchain solution by applying key platform considerations, examining the available top platforms according to their characteristics, and selecting the best steps for the selection process
  • Seven usual barriers that hinder success and how to apply a simple five-step process that will ensure success of proper solution implementation
