Modeling Lithium-ion Batteries

  • Online

There is a great deal of interest in batteries today, particularly in lithium-ion batteries. This course is one of five in a series developed by Robert Spotnitz, President of Battery Design, LLC. In this fourth course, Dr. Spotnitz provides a detailed review of the types of models currently in use (computational chemistry, empirical, and physics-based for engineering design). He also addresses using battery modeling to improve design and the impact of temperature upon battery life.

What you will learn:

  • Discuss the types of models currently in use
  • Describe using battery modeling to improve design
