This 45-minute course helps authors understand the basics of IEEE editorial policies and how to comply with ethical requirements for content originality and authenticity. This course is intended for all individuals interested in publishing their work in a journal or a magazine, or through a conference. The learner should be able to understand what plagiarism is, understand how to cite data and code, become familiar with IEEE's Article Posting Policy and publishing agreements, and be aware of the benefits related to signing up for an ORCID.
